Victorian Premier Jacinta Allan has followed in the footsteps of Daniel Andrews by travelling to Beijing in the hopes of securing closer economic ties, including potential backing for the controversial Suburban Rail Loop.
Mr Andrews drew widespread criticism for seeking closer ties with China during his time as premier, particularly by signing Victoria up to China's Belt and Road Initiative.
