HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) - The Hampton Police Division is investigating a shooting that left a man with non life-threatening injuries Sunday morning.

The shooting occurred 2:03 a.m. in the 600 block of Powhatan Parkway, according to officers. Preliminary investigation revealed the suspect approached and knocked on the victim's residence and upon the victim answering, the suspect shot the victim.

Police say that after the shooting the suspect fled the scene and are looking to identify them.

HPD believes the shooting was an isolated incident.
