NORTH PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — Former Rhode Island College Women’s Basketball star Stephanie Coro held her annual “24-Hours of Nothing But Net” fundraiser over the weekend.

The fundraiser aims to raise both awareness and money for Special Olympics RI.

The event started on Saturday at 1 p.m. and went until Sunday at noon. Coro, along with friends and family, shot 100 free throws every hour throughout.

So far, the event has already raised over $8,000.
