EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — Throughout the fall, we bring you high school football scores and highlights from around our area on the Friday Night Blitz.

And once again — we want you to get involved.

The Blitz 12 Player of the Week is back for another season. Each week, three nominees will be selected from around Rhode Island and Southeastern Massachusetts, then fans can vote on who they think deserves the honor.

Here are this week's nominees:

Jacob Duarte, East Providence: 11 rushes, 176 yards and 3 touchdowns, plus one passing TD

Ben Black, North Smithfield: 4 passing touchdowns

Onassis Soriano, St. Raphael: 224 receiving yards and three touchdowns

We'll have an interview with the Player of the Week this Friday on 12 News at 6, 10 and 11 p.m.
