During his pregame interview with Scott Zolak on 98.5 the Sports Hub prior to kickoff with the Miami Dolphins, Patriots coach Mike Vrabel was asked about the recent Ja’Lynn Polk trade.

The wide receiver, the Patriots 2024 second round pick, was shipped to the New Orleans Saints, despite being on injured reserve with a shoulder injury

“I just think that it’s a good start for him somewhere else,” Vrabel said of Polk. “We wish him the best. He worked extremely hard to get back and then was re-injured. We were going to be without Ja’Lynn this year, anyway, and we felt like what was best is to give him a fresh start.”

On Saturday, the Patriots traded Polk, along with a 2028 seventh-round pick, to the Saints in exchange for a 2027 sixth-round pick.
