JOHNSTOWN, Wis. -- A Delavan man died Sunday morning following a single-vehicle motorcycle crash in the Town of Johnstown.

Multiple units responded just after 6:30 a.m. to the area of E County Highway A east of N County Highway M. An investigation revealed a Honda motorcycle operated by a 44-year-old man was driving eastbound on E County Highway A. The Rock County Sheriff's Office said the motorcyclist failed to clear the sweeping left curve and struck a mailbox, then power pole, and he was ejected from the vehicle. He was reportedly not wearing a helmet and authorities said speed was a factor in the crash.

The man was pronounced dead on scene due to injuries sustained in the crash.
