Senator Pauline Hanson has outlined her hopes for the legacy of Charlie Kirk as the 31-year-old's death continues to send shockwaves across the political landscape.

Mr Kirk was fatally shot while speaking to a large crowd of students during a Turning Point USA event at a Utah Valley University, sparking a major manhunt which led to the eventual arrest of suspect Tyler Robinson, aged 22.

The 31-year-old was the founder of Turning Point USA – a nonprofit with a focus on advocating conservative politics and values to young people, including on college campuses.

Though Senator Hanson described Mr Kirk’s death as “devastating”, the Senator said she thought his legacy would continue to affect politics around the globe.
