HEBRON, Conn. — A 14-year-old boy died after a dirt bike crash in Hebron Sunday afternoon, according to Connecticut State Police.
State police from Troop K responded at 5:25 p.m. to Burnt Hill Road at its intersection with Cone Road in Hebron after receiving a report about the crash.
Investigators learned that the boy, identified as Erik Brooker, 14, of Hebron, was traveling on a Honda CRF 150 dirt bike, headed west on Burnt Hill Road.
State police said he lost control of the dirt bike while traveling along an "S" shaped curve, going off the right side of the road and colliding with a rocky embankment.
Hebron EMS brought Brooker to Marlborough Middlesex Clinic where he was pronounced dead.
