ATLANTA — Georgia Sen. Jon Ossoff on Sunday lamented what he called a "perilous moment" following the political assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk and other recent instances of gun violence, including the hail of bullets fired at the CDC last month by a gunman, and laid out his vision for a way to a "better path."
The address by the Georgia Democrat to First Congregational Church of Atlanta during the church's homecoming worship service offered the senator a chance to speak to a key Atlanta constituency as he seeks re-election next year.
The homecoming service was held under the banner of, "Good Trouble, Good People, Great Faith" and Sen. Ossoff wove his address around his relationship with the late Congressman John Lewis.
