HAZARD, Ky. (WYMT) - Temperatures this week start in the mid to upper 80s, but slightly cooler weather is on the way.

Monday continues the warm trend we observed this past weekend. While average temperatures for this time of year are around 79 degrees, today is expected to be significantly warmer, with highs reaching the mid-to-upper 80s. Mostly sunny skies are expected throughout the day, although there is a very slight chance of scattered showers in the afternoon, mainly affecting our Virginia counties.
