The widow of Teesside songwriter Graeme Miles has passed away just weeks after the publication of a book celebrating her late husband’s life and songs. With her health failing in recent years, it was Annie Miles’ final wish to see Graeme’s story recorded for future generations, preserving the songs and story that meant so much to them both.
Writer Ailsa MacKenzie was determined to ensure the project was completed so that Annie would see it come to fruition, so she worked tirelessly to complete the 438-page hardback book. The retired newspaper reporter and sub-editor spent several years researching, studying Graeme’s vast archives that include hundreds of his songs and drawings.
