SUMTER COUNTY, S.C. (WIS) - Sumter County Sheriff Anthony Dennis is set to provide an update on a double homicide case that crossed county lines.

The Sumter County Sheriff’s Office said 29-year-old Tiamo Henry Mitchell Drakeford, of Camden, was arrested Friday and charged with murder, possession of a weapon during a violent crime as well as desecration of human remains.

Dennis will hold a press conference at 1 p.m. Monday regarding the case. A livestream of the sheriff’s remarks can be seen above this story.

The sheriff’s office confirmed Drakeford is charged in the deaths of Christine McAbee and Kristen Grissom. Both women, who were from the Lowcountry, were found dead in an area of Richbow Road on Aug. 8.
