Quebec municipalities will start seeing campaign posters being put up as of Friday, as the official electoral period kicks off ahead of the Nov. 2 elections.

1,100 municipalities are holding their elections that day, and Élections Québec says there are some new things to look out for.

The president of the election in municipalities with 20,000 residents or more will have the opportunity to add four more days to vote at their office.

They will also be able to add another day of advance voting. The president can now decide if they want to add Saturday, Oct. 25, as an advance voting day, in addition to the planned Sunday, Oct. 26, advance voting day that weekend.
