CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Nearly $25 million raised through the Concert for the Carolinas , which was held a month after Hurricane Helene slammed the area, has been distributed across communities impacted by the storm. Now, several North Carolina nonprofits are showing how that money is making a difference and why the need is still far from over.
Brian Hall, executive director of Eblen Charities, said the storm relief funds have helped families rebuild stability after losing so much. His organization was one of five that received money from the benefit concert. Eblen Charities received $3 million to expand its work into some of the hardest-hit communities.
