HICKORY, N.C. — Hickory's popular Riverwalk attraction is partially closing, starting Monday, as crews fix electrical damage caused by Hurricane Helene .

The city said that its Riverwalk overwater bridge will be closed to the public as crews work on electrical repairs to the lighting system and conduit.

The work is expected to take up to four to six weeks to complete. During this time, other parts of the elevated Riverwalk trail will remain open and accessible from Hickory City and Rotary-Geitner parks, according to the city.
