A juvenile used a knife to defend his mother, who was being strangled during a domestic violence incident Saturday night, according to Mobile police.

Officers were called to a residence on Brown Road in response to a 911 call around 10:36 p.m. Saturday, where they learned that a known man had allegedly attacked and strangled a woman during an argument.
