SALEM, Va. (WDBJ) - Big changes are coming to a Salem landmark.
Dilly Dally has been a staple in Salem for 100 years, and now, it’s getting a facelift. It’s being transformed into a convenience store, a place to grab a bite to eat and to hang out outdoors.
Maggie Brill is the new owner who’s putting her heart into keeping this neighborhood gem alive.
“I first came to this area 20 years ago and I came to Salem,” Brill said.
For Brill, running a store isn’t new—it’s part of her roots.
“I grew up in the restaurant industry,” Brill said. “I grew up in a little mom-and-pop restaurant and when my father passed away, I ran it for six years before selling it.”
