STILWATER — Outside noise can reach ear-piercing volumes when Oklahoma State loses a football game.

But what about the historic 69-3 loss at Oregon? The last time OSU lost that big was 1907 when horse-drawn carriages were used, telegraphs traded important news and our state wasn't born yet.

Social media can hurl painful insults in an instant. No one is immune from being targeted, from Cowboys coach Mike Gundy to a third-team defensive back.

Gundy is wrestling with the issue heading into Friday's 6:30 p.m. game against visiting Tulsa with a single message: Ignore it.
