AUBURN — Alex McPherson 's health struggles are well-documented, and his progress in handling them is a day-to-day process at this point. After being sidelined for most of the 2024 season with health issues that were eventually diagnosed as ulcerative colitis, he's back on the field this fall and making contributions.
McPherson has handled Auburn football 's kicking duties on point-after attempts and short-range field goals this fall. He has been perfect in both, going 15-for-15 on PATs and 2-for-2 on field goals, making a season-best 34-yarder in Auburn 's 31-15 win over South Alabama.
