SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) - For this year's National Constitution Day, LSU Shreveport will have a full slate of events to celebrate 238 years since the signing of the U.S. Constitution.
It will kick off with a Voter Registration Drive and Protest Art Exhibit in the University Center Lobby. A patriotic-themed Founders Day Feast will follow along with a film screening of "National Treasure" at 7 p.m. in the LSUS Theatre.
"This day is about celebrating the freedoms we often take for granted while creating space for meaningful conversations," said Leigh Chambers, Chair of the Constitution Day Committee. "By combining history, art, civic engagement, and dialogue, we hope to inspire students and the community to reflect on the values that guide our democracy.
