SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) — Shreve Memorial Library is celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month through October 15.
Hispanic Heritage Month celebrates Hispanic Americans' cultures, accomplishments, and contributions with workshops, folk art, food demonstrations, story time programs, film screenings, music, games, and more.
All events are free and open to the public; however, some require registration.
Patrons will be able to participate in arts and crafts workshops, which will allow them the opportunity to create and learn more about Hispanic cultures, customs, and countries.
Participants will be able to make Guatemalan worry dolls, Quetzal birds from Central America, papel picado flags, Dia de los Muertos sugar skulls, Huichol yarn art from Mexico, and Molas from Panama.
