A Clifton Hill woman will face court on Tuesday morning, after allegedly hitting and killing a cyclist in Melbourne’s north and fleeing the scene.

Police say she was suspended from driving at the time.

A 40-year-old Princes Hill man died in hospital a day after he was struck by a car on Moreland Road, Coburg, on the evening of August 24.

Police arrested a 40-year-old Clifton Hill woman in Lower Templestowe on Monday, who they allege was the driver.

She has been charged with failing to stop at the scene of an accident, failing to render assistance, failing to report a collision to the police, and driving while suspended.

A 61-year-old man was also arrested in Abbotsford yesterday in relation to the same incident, and he has since been released without charge, pending further inquiries.
