Nicole Kidman is spending a small fortune to live in the UK without Keith Urban, with an insider suggesting the move is like the couple have gone their "separate ways".

The Aussie film star, 58, has been residing in England at pop star Boy George's former luxurious Hampstead mansion to film Practical Magic 2.

Kidman and Sandra Bullock will reprise their roles as orphaned sisters Sally and Gillian Owens in the sequel to the 1998 film of the same title.

Nicole confirmed Practical Magic 2 wrapped filming on Saturday, but she is reportedly "getting comfortable" at the home, which costs her AUD $132,000 per month to live at without her country singer husband of 19 years.
