Three members of a Mansfield family were found murdered inside an apartment in Georgetown, north of Austin.

KXAN-TV, the NBC affiliate in Austin, reported that 34-year-old Alonzo Hawkins, his cousin, 39-year-old Doneisha Brooks and 8-year-old Olivia Brooks were all killed.

Relatives told KXAN the three recently moved to Georgetown for a fresh start. When they did not hear from them over the weekend, a family friend went to do a welfare check.

"Our family has always been tight-knit, [and] would help anyone. So at this point, we just don't know what happened or who would have done this," the family said.
