PHOENIX — Do you have an affinity for road safety and feel a little "punny"? If so, we have some great news.

The Arizona Department of Transportation Safety Message Contest is back!

ADOT is inviting the public to submit their most engaging traffic safety messages for this year's contest. Submissions are open through Sept. 22 at azdot.gov/SignContest .

This is the ninth iteration of the contest and it gives Arizona residents a chance to see their creative safety messages on the message signs over the state's roadways.
