LUBBOCK, Texas — As teachers, pilots and others lose their jobs over social media posts about the death of conservative influencer Charlie Kirk, students at public universities in Texas are now also facing consequences.

Following the arrest of a student at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Gov. Greg Abbott called for the expulsion of a student at Texas State University in San Marcos.

According to a report from KAMC , the ABC affiliate in Lubbock, a Texas Tech University student was arrested and is now "no longer enrolled" following a confrontation during an on-campus memorial for Kirk.
