A young woman tragically took her own life after experiencing "extreme trauma" when police raided her home and arrested her partner in a case of mistaken identity.
Following the incident, Cherry Turner became obsessed with the idea that police may come back to the home, fearing police had 'bugged' the property she shared with fiancé Craig Jackson, a court heard.
The 31-year-old, from Newcastle, spiralled into depression and sadly took her own life on July 1, 2022, "as a consequence of the ordeal", a jury at South Tyneside Coroner's Court ruled.
The incident led to the loss of both their lives, their families told the Mirror, as Craig could not bear to be without his childhood sweetheart.
