WALES, Maine — High school fall sports seasons are back in full swing. One senior at Oak Hill High School in Wales is embracing his leadership role in the year ahead.
Three-sport athlete Braden New has a lot of goals for his last year in a Raider jersey. He has suited up to play soccer, basketball, and baseball for Oak Hill for the past three years, but he's been playing for about as long as he can remember.
"I think sports are good for development of, like, learning how to adapt to people, adapt to different challenges," New said.
The challenges have led to personal development and learned lessons, teaching intangibles like teamwork and leadership.
