LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - The Model Laboratory School in Richmond is mourning the loss of a former teacher. Longtime teacher Rodney Rhodus passed away on Monday.

For 33 years, Rodney Rhodus shaped the lives of the upcoming generation. From the 1990s to 2024, Rhodus taught English to high school students. Former students like Ethan Hovermale remember him as a soft-spoken man, but say his words had an impact.
“His perspectives were so awesome. He recommended so many great stories that he thought I’d like, and he was always right,” said Ethan Hoverm
