RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — Artificial intelligence is reshaping classrooms across the country, and Wake County schools are beginning to figure out how to handle it.

The school board held its first of three working sessions Tuesday on how to create a policy for artificial intelligence in the classroom. While some North Carolina school districts already have policies in place, Wake County does not.

"We know that this is something that's changing very, very fast, but we know it is our duty to make sure that they are informed and all of the parameters so that as they begin to develop a policy, they are much more knowledgeable about what they are looking to govern," said Superintendent Robert Taylor.
