RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — Wakefield High School in Raleigh issued a warning to parents on Wednesday.

In an email sent to parents, Wakefield High School principal Malik Bazzell addressed a serious concern on campus.

"Over the past several days, when verbal or physical altercations have occurred, large groups of students have run toward these situations as spectators. While many of these students may not be directly involved, this behavior is both dangerous and disruptive," said Bazzell. "When students rush to an altercation, they create unsafe crowding, block staff members who are trying to respond, and increase the risk of injury to both students and staff. This cannot continue."
