DANVILLE, Ill. (WCIA) -- A Danville man was sentenced last week to more than six years in prison after he pleaded guilty to hitting a person over the age of 60 in an act of domestic violence last year.
Vermilion County court records show Robert Brockwell was scheduled to be in court on Friday for a disposition hearing that would result in a plea being entered. In a news release, the State's Attorney's Office said Brockwell pleaded guilty to aggravated battery of a person 60 years of age or older, a Class 3 felony.
Judge Karen Wall then sentenced Brockwell to 6.5 years in prison.
