AGGRAVATED BATTERY: A Chicago man who threw a glass plate at two acquaintances, threatened them with a board embedded with two nails and then hit an officer as he was being removed was charged with aggravated battery to a police officer and also accused of aggravated assault and resisting arrest, police said. Zuhar Gahreeb, 24, was taken into custody during a Sept. 8 domestic disturbance investigation in the 8000 block of Beloit Avenue, police said.
