COLDWATER, Michigan — A middle school student is in the hospital after being hit by a car while riding her bike to school, Coldwater Police say.
Around 7 a.m., a sixth-grade girl was crossing West Chicago Street (US-12)—near Munson Street on the city's west side—on her bike when she was hit by a westbound pickup truck.
The girl was treated at the scene, then sent to a hospital in Kalamazoo by ambulance for further treatment.
Police did not say if the 29-year-old Bronson man driving the truck was injured.
The scene remains closed while police investigate.
