DOUGLAS COUNTY, Mo. -- Two people living in Ava, Missouri, were arrested on multiple charges, including drug trafficking, after deputies found drugs in an abandoned vehicle.

Both Mackathion Collins, 32, from Ava, and Heather Flores, 44, from Ava, were charged with four felonies: first-degree trafficking drugs or attempt, possession of a controlled substance, unlawful use of a weapon with felony possession of a controlled substance, and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. Collins was additionally charged with misdemeanor failure to register a motor vehicle and owning a motor vehicle without maintaining financial responsibility.
