MCKENZIE BRIDGE, Ore. - Firefighters are continuing efforts to contain the Foley Ridge Fire, with fire activity prompting road closures and evacuation notices to be issued, according to the Willamette National Forest.

Forest Service officials said that efforts are focused on the southern and eastern flanks, with crews actively patrolling and extinguishing hot spots. Increased activity was reported on the western flank, where crews reinforced containment lines. Four helicopters are providing aerial support with water drops to help control the fire's edge.
