DURHAM, N.C. (WNCN) — A passenger rail station could be coming to Research Triangle Park, potentially serving tens of thousands of people who work in the area.

Research Triangle Foundation VP of Planning and Public Policy Travis Crayton is playing a part in turning the idea into a reality.

"As we're thinking about continuing to grow, adding new jobs, adding things like residential to the park and other uses, we are preparing to unlock a multimodal future for the park," Crayton said. "This rail station we're just now embarking on the study of could be a key part of that future vision for RTP."
