BUFFALO, N.Y. — In the week since the assassination of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk a growing number of people are finding themselves under the microscope for remarks made on social media about Kirk and his followers.
Some posters have express delight in the assassination, sometimes using the crudest of language, which has sparked a movement by others to flag the posts in an attempt to out individuals, particularly to their employers.
"It doesn't surprise me in these polarized times where everybody seems to want to seek revenge on whoever they consider their opposites," said Lucinda M.
