NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) - The severe storms of Wednesday have passed giving us a quiet evening then early morning sunshine for Thursday and the chance for few scattered showers and isolated storms.

Most areas in southeast Louisiana and southern Mississippi will hit the 90-degree mark primarily along the North Shore with it being a bit "cooler" along the South Shore and coast.

Rain chances will be pretty minimal and if you see anything it won't be until late lunchtime...

Your chance for any scattered showers and isolated storms will diminish by the time we get to dinnertime on Thursday.

Then looking ahead to the rest of the week, the rain chances will increase slightly for Friday, Sunday and next Monday then more so for Tuesday and Wednesday..
