FARGO — At about 9:30 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 17, Fargo police asked the public to steer clear of the 1400 block of First Avenue South after a shooting was reported about two hours earlier.

According to the police's post on Facebook, a man called 911 around 7:25 p.m. to report that he had been shot by another male at a home in the 1400 block of First Avenue South.

After the shooting, the suspect and another male reportedly fled the scene in a small four-door, dark-colored sedan, possibly a 2006-2011 Honda Civic, driven by a third individual.

"At this time, the relationship between the victim and suspect is not clear," police said in the post.

The victim was taken by ambulance to a local hospital to be treated for injuries that were not life-threatening, police said.
