LOUISVILLE, Ky. —

A son is now facing charges along with his father in connection to a shooting in downtown Louisville.

On July 27, LMPD was called to UofL Health Jewish Hospital around 3:30 p.m. about a man who arrived there with a gunshot wound.

Investigators later determined the man had been shot in the 500 block of South 8th Street. He was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Reginald Offutt was arrested on Aug. 13 and charged with first- and second-degree assault and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon.

On Wednesday, LMPD's Non-Fatal Shooting Unit arrested his son, 27-year-old Reginald Offutt Jr.

He is charged with second-degree assault (complicity).
