SAN ANGELO, Texas (Concho Valley Homepage) — A high-speed chase in San Angelo has resulted in a three-vehicle crash that sent two drivers to the hospital.

The wreck took place near the intersection of North Bryant Boulevard and West 7th Street. According to CVHP reporters on the scene, the entrance from 7th Street has been temporarily blocked off.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, during routine patrols on the north side of town near the county line on US 87 North, Troopers identified a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed. Their radar confirmed that the vehicle was moving at 123 miles per hour. A Trooper then began to initiate a traffic stop, but the vehicle began fleeing and accelerating. The vehicle continued southbound on US 87 near the San Angelo city limits.
