OMAHA, Neb. —
Creighton officials announced a major upgrade to the university's athletic facilities.
Officials said Thursday that the $300 million project will encompass 11 new or renovated facilities for all of Creighton's Division I athletes as part of the "Fly Together" initiative.
The project, which covers about 700,000 square feet of campus, will include a student fitness center, recreational hub, and more — connected to the reimagined Rasmussen Center — including new basketball courts, track and pickleball courts.
'A wonderful addition':
A 50,000-square-foot sports performance center will serve all student-athletes, in addition to strength and conditioning, sports nutrition, sports psychology, and more. A groundbreaking ceremony is expected to be held before the end of the year.
