MONROE, N.C. — An 18-year-old who was wanted in connection with a shooting that happened outside of Sammy's Mini Mart in Monroe earlier this month was arrested, detectives say.
Kameron Amari Robinson was taken into custody in Anson County on Thursday, Monroe police say. His arrest was the result of a collaborative effort among local agencies and the U.S. Marshals Service.
The shooting happened in the Sammy's Mini Mart parking lot around 10:35 p.m. on Sept. 17. Investigators determined that two people walked out of the store when Robinson pulled a firearm and fired shots at a third person across the lot.
Shortly after, Monroe Police received another call reporting a gunshot victim at Atrium Health Hospital. The victim sustained a gunshot wound near the chest and was airlifted to Atrium H
