CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Former Carolina Panthers linebacker Amaré Barno was arrested on domestic violence charges this week, according to Mecklenburg County Sheriff's Office records.

Barno was arrested just before 1 a.m. Thursday, records show. He's charged with assault on a female and misdemeanor domestic violence in connection with the incident. According to a warrant obtained by WCNC Charlotte, the alleged assault was caught on camera.

According to an affidavit, the victim alleged that Barno pushed her into a vehicle and then shoved her again when she didn't fall to the ground. The victim said the assault came after the couple got into an argument while she was trying to remove some items from Barno's Charlotte home.
