COLUMBUS, Neb. (KOLN) - Authorities have released the identity of the woman fatally shot inside a Columbus home Tuesday night.
The Columbus Police Department identified the woman as 25-year-old Kennedi Demuth of Fullerton.
“This is a tragic incident, and our department is committed to conducting a thorough investigation,” Interim Police Chief Bret Strecker said. “The Columbus Police Department and City of Columbus extended our deepest condolences to the family and loved ones of the victim during this difficult time.”
Officers responded to a home near 22nd and 7th streets shortly before 8:40 p.m. on Tuesday on the report of a woman with a gunshot wound.
