Arson at a Peterborough shop on Thursday (September 18) is being linked to an attack that left a man seriously injured. Petrol is believed to have been poured over the door of a shop on Gladstone Street on Thursday (September 18), before it went up in flames.
Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue spokesperson said a crew from Dogsthorpe was called at about 4.25am. Firefighters put out the flames and had returned to their station by 5.50am.
While most of the harm was done to the front of the building, a gas main was damaged. Nobody was injured in the arson attack.
However, Cambridgeshire Police is linking it to another incident nearby on Tuesday (September 16), which left a man in hospital with serious injuries. Two men were arrested following this earlier incident, and were charges at Hu
