A mum-of-three, who forced her children to live outside as her house was "unliveable", has been jailed.

Betty Snider, 35, left her kids in "inhumane conditions" after forcing them to live in her garden for months, according to police.

Police became involved after the 16-year-old turned up to school in a poor physical condition, while her younger siblings stopped turning up to school.

The younger siblings were reportedly "appeared dirty, hungry, and had visible injuries".

Snider was arrested on August 29, 2024, after the children, aged 10, 11, and 16, were rushed to hospital amid concerns they were suffering from malnourishment, dehydration, and neglect.
