HANCEVILLE, Ala. ( WBRC ) - As drought conditions continue to worsen across the state of Alabama, one city in Cullman County has issued a burn ban.
Hanceville Fire and Rescue issued the no burn order Wednesday due to hot and dry conditions that are forecasted to continue .
“No outdoor burning is permitted at this time,” fire officials said on social media . “Please share this information with your neighbors, family members, and friends so that we’re all working together to keep our community safe.”
Every county across central Alabama is experiencing some level of drought, ranging from abnormal to severe.
The burn bad is effective immediately and will stay in effect until conditions approve.
