FLORENCE COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) -- A man who drove off in a stolen car and sparked a chase before crashing near a store while deputies took a murder suspect out of Sumter County into custody has been captured, Sheriff TJ Joye said.
Joye said deputies were assisting in serving a warrant for a man charged with murder out of Sumer County. While that man was being taken into custody, another man drove off in a stolen car.
The suspect later crashed into a building on Cale Yarborough Highway in the Timmonsville area before running away, Joye said.
Joye said the murder suspect was taken into custody, and the man who crashed during the chase was taken into custody at about 2:45 p.m. Thursday.
